Established by family, friends, and colleagues, the James D. House Memorial Award & Endowment Fund celebrates Jim’s extraordinary contributions to food and human nutritional sciences and his lifelong dedication to students.
Each year, the endowment supports two important initiatives:
The James D. House Memorial Fellowship: Graduate fellowships for students pursuing thesis-based research in food and nutrition, with a special focus on sustainable protein. These awards provide crucial support for the next generation of researchers Jim cared so deeply about.
The James D. House Research Lectureship: An annual event that brings leading Canadian and international experts to the University of Manitoba, fostering dialogue and collaboration that strengthens our academic and broader community.
