Connor Duff Memorial Bursary

Connor (Mandy) Duff (1995–2022) was a gifted artist with an extraordinary ability to bring stories to life. As a theatre major at the University of Manitoba, they discovered their passion for filmmaking, directing, and screenwriting—crafting narratives that moved, challenged and inspired those around them.
Their dedication led them to the Toronto Film Institute, where they were just two months away from graduating when their life was tragically cut short. Connor (Mandy) dreamed of telling stories that mattered—stories that gave voice to the underrepresented, connected people through shared experiences, and made a meaningul impact.
To honour that dream, the Duff family established the Connor Duff Memorial Bursary endowment fund. Thanks to the generous support of family, friends and community members, just over $10,000 has already been raised to support students who share Connor (Mandy)’s artistic vision and passion for storytelling.
As we approach what would have been Connor (Mandy’s) 30th birthday on June 6, 2025, we invite you to help carry their legacy forward.
Your donation to the Connor Duff Memorial Bursary will provide vital financial support to aspiring filmmakers, writers, and theatre artists in the Theatre Program at the University of Manitoba. With your help, students facing financial barriers will be empowered to explore their creativity, develop their voices, and bring powerful stories to the world—just as Connor (Mandy) aspired to do.
Together, we can ensure their legacy continues to inspire and uplift a new generation of filmmakers and storytellers.
