Family Medicine’s Future 50 Fund

The Department of Family Medicine serves communities across Manitoba by training the next generation of family physicians, physician assistant studies students, International Medical Graduates, and medical learners to provide care in clinics, hospitals, personal care homes, and communities throughout the province.
As Department Head, I am continually inspired by the extraordinary work taking place across our distributed department to advance excellence in family medicine and primary care. Every day, faculty members, learners, clinical teams, administrative staff and community partners are working together to strengthen care close to home for Manitobans.
Through a new approach to fundraising, we are building meaningful, long-term partnerships with donors who share our commitment to improving health care and supporting the future of primary care in Manitoba. Philanthropic investment will help us advance strategic priorities, expand faculty development opportunities, support innovative educational programming, and create transformative learning experiences for students and residents in communities across the province.
Your support is an investment in sustainable, patient-centred health care for Manitoba. Together, we can strengthen the future of family medicine and primary care, support the health workforce communities need, and improve access to high-quality care for Manitobans today and for generations to come.
For those interested in making a larger impact through a multi-year commitment or a gift of securities, we welcome you to connect directly with Sam.Slutchuk@umanitoba.ca to explore giving options that align with your philanthropic goals.
I look forward to building this future together.
Sincerely,
