Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship High School Pitch Workshop

Project Story

The Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Manitoba is excited to host our annual High School Pitch Workshop on June 3, 2025, at the Smartpark Innovation Hub. This one-day workshop is designed to inspire and empower high school students by helping them discover and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
Throughout the day, 60 – 70 students will engage in interactive workshop sessions providing them with the opportunity to learn the ideation process and develop a pitch to bring their ideas to the larger world. Through this process students will learn how to identify problems and envision solutions to solve those problems. They will learn how to form and interact within a team environment while learning the essential components of delivering a successful pitch. They’ll learn how to connect with their audience, structure an engaging and persuasive pitch. By the end of the day, students will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a friendly pitch competition, receiving valuable feedback from both peers and experienced facilitators.
This workshop not only strengthens students’ communication skills but also fosters creativity, critical thinking, and confidence—attributes that are essential in entrepreneurship and all other aspects of life. The event is completely free for all participating students, and every attendee will be provided with meals, complimentary t-shirts, and a certificate of completion to mark their achievement.
