UMGSA Campus Forestry Initiative

Project Story

UMGSA Campus Forestry Initiative

We often talk about giving back to the community, but seldom talk about giving back to the environment. This is why the UMGSA is starting the UM Campus Forestry Initiative.

The aim of the initiative is to plant 50 trees on campus. UMGSA is showing their commitment to this by planting the first 5 trees, and we are looking for your support for the remaining 45. The cost of a tree is $1200, though any amount you give will help support the beautification of our natural green spaces on campus. In recognition of donors to this project, we will:

  • Install a plaque near the group of trees that includes a brief explanation of the project, made possible through the generosity of donors to this campaign.
  • Feature a story in UM Today that will focus on the impact of the project, and recognize the group of donors that made it possible.

Let’s plant trees.

Support the UMGSA Campus Forestry Initiative.

Give back to the environment. Give back to space that sustains every living creature.
